Conclusion of VIG Saturday Gate Program & NIT Gate Hour Change – December 2025

The Saturday gate program at Virginia International Gateway (VIG) and the Portsmouth Chassis Yard (PCY) will conclude at the close of business on Saturday, December 6, 2025.

Saturday gate hours for VIG will be observed for the next 3 consecutive weekends.

Effective Monday, December 1, 2025, Norfolk International Terminal (NIT) will observe the following gate hour change:

  • Truck gates will open at 0700 hours
  • Inbound portals close of 1700 hours
  • Final reefer pickup at 1630 hours
  • PRO-PASS mandatory reservations in effect

On Saturday, December 6, following gate hours will be observed:

  • Truck gates will open at 0900 hours for VIG
    • Reservation editing and creating, via the PRO-PASS website, will be unavailable from 2200 hours on Friday, December 5th until 0900 hours on Saturday, December 6th
    • Final reefer pickup at 1530 hours
    • Inbound portals close at 1600 hours
  • Truck gates will open at 0900 hours for the PCY
    • Last trucks handled at 1630 hours

We will continually review commercial performance and forecasts, ensuring that gate hour capacity aligns with customer demand.
