To support terminal operations, The Port of Virginia will implement the following reservation scheduling procedures for Norfolk International Terminal (NIT) and Virginia International Gateway (VIG), effective Monday, April 13th.
Week-day, MON-FRI, Reservation Hours (excluding observed holidays)
- PRO-PASS reservations will CLOSE daily at 1700 hours
- PRO-PASS reservations will RE-OPEN daily at 0500 hours the following morning
No new reservations may be created or modified during the nightly week-day closure period.
Weekend Adjustment for Monday Reservation Hours (excluding observed holidays)
To accommodate vessel discharge activity over the weekend:
- PRO-PASS reservations for Monday will OPEN at 0800 hours each Sunday
- PRO-PASS reservations for Monday will CLOSE at 1700 hours on each Sunday
After 1700 hours, no additional PRO-PASS reservations will be accepted until 0500 hours, Monday morning.
Important Reminders
- Motor carriers are encouraged to plan accordingly and secure appointments early.
- Drivers must have a validated reservation prior to entering the terminal portal.
