Saturday, July 4, 2026, is Independence Day, America’s 250th birthday. In celebration of this national holiday, The Port of Virginia will observe the following operating plan:
- Truck gates at Norfolk International Terminal (NIT), Virginia International Gateway (VIG), Pinner’s Point Container Yard (PPCY), Portsmouth Chassis Yard (PCY) and Reefer Service Area (RSA) will observe normal posted operating hours (click the link) on Friday, July 3rd and Monday, July 6th
- NIT and VIG Breakbulk/CFS/OOG operations will be CLOSED on Monday, July 6th
- PRO-PASS reservations will be available at 0800 hours on Sunday, July 5, and will become unavailable at 1700 hours, in accordance with the Reservation Scheduling Adjustment (click the link) process
- Truck gates at Newport News Marine Terminal (NNMT) will observe normal posted operating hours on Friday, July 3rd and will be CLOSED on Monday, July 6th
- Truck gates at Richmond Marine Terminal (RMT) will observe normal posted operating hours on Friday, July, 3rd and Monday, July 6th
- Truck gates at Virginia Inland Port (VIP) will be CLOSED on Friday, July 3rd and will observe normal posted operating hours on Monday, July 6th
