Monday, May 26th, is Memorial Day, a state and federal holiday. As we approach the Memorial Day weekend, we honor the memories of our countrymen and countrywomen, who made the ultimate sacrifice to ensure our freedom.
The Port of Virginia will observe the following operating hours for container operations** on Monday, May 26th.
Norfolk International Terminal (NIT) and Virginia International Gateway (VIG) truck gates will open at 0700 hours, with an inbound portal closure of 1700 hours
- PRO-PASS mandatory reservation hours will be in effect from 0700 – 1400 hours
- Mandatory reservation period will conclude at 1500 hours
- Final reefer pick-up at 1630
The Pinner’s Point Container Yard (PPCY), Portsmouth Chassis Yard (PCY), and the Reefer Service Area (RSA) truck gates will open at 0700 hours, with last trucks in / last units handled at 1730 hours
- All empty returns will be designated by the Empty Return Matrix

- NIT, NNMT and VIG Breakbulk/OOG/CFS operations will be closed on Monday, May 26th
