Effective Monday, November 28, the Port of Virginia will observe the following gate hour changes:
Norfolk International Terminal (NIT) will open at 0500 hours, with an inbound portal closure of 1700 hours
- PRO-PASS TRS mandatory hours will be in effect from 0500 – 1500 hours at NIT
- Mandatory reservation period will conclude at 1500 hours
- Final reefer pick-up at 1630
Virginia International Gateway (VIG) will open at 0500 hours, with an inbound portal closure of 1800 hours
- PRO-PASS TRS mandatory hours will be in effect from 0500 – 1600 hours at VIG
- Mandatory reservation period will conclude at 1600 hours
- Final reefer pick-up at 1730
The Pinner’s Point Container Yard (PPCY), Reefer Service Area (RSA) and the Portsmouth Chassis Yard (PCY) will open at 0500 hours, with last trucks in / last units handled at 1830 hours
- All empty returns will be designated by the Empty Return Matrix
The current Saturday gate program will be adjusted as follows:
Norfolk International Terminal (NIT) and Virginia International Gateway (VIG) will open at 0800 hours, with an inbound portal closure of 1100 hours
Standard TRS mandatory hours are in effect
The Pinner’s Point Container Yard (PPCY), Reefer Service Area (RSA) and the Portsmouth Chassis Yard (PCY) will open at 0800 hours, with last trucks in / last units handled at 1130 hours
