Port of Virginia to Launch New Text Notification System – Wednesday, March 27, 2024

As we continue to optimize port operations, we are pleased to announce another step forward for the Port of Virginia as we launch a new text alert notification system.

Current subscribers will automatically be enrolled and there will be no update required**.

**Note, users who have subscribed to text notifications only, between March 15, 2024 and today, March 26, 2024, will need to re-subscribe using the following segment groups:

• If you are in the trucking industry, text POVTrucker to (757) 440-7160
• If you work for an ocean carrier/ shipping line, text POVShipline to (757) 440-7160
• If you work for a beneficial cargo owner (BCO), text POVBCO to (757) 440-7160
• If you don’t work in one of those industry segments, but wish to receive alerts, text POVPartner to (757) 440-7160
