Thanksgiving Holiday Operating Schedule – 2024 & Conclusion of VIG Saturday Gate Program

The Saturday gate program at Virginia International Gateway (VIG) will conclude at the close of business on Saturday, December 7, 2024.

The supporting facilities of Pinner’s Point Container Yard (PPCY) and the Portsmouth Chassis Yard (PCY) Saturday gate hours will also conclude, after December 7^th.

Saturday gate hours for VIG, PPCY and the PCY will be observed for the next 3 consecutive weekends.

In observance of the 2024 Thanksgiving holiday, The Port of Virginia is pleased to announce the following operating schedule:

Monday, Nov. 25^th

• Observing regular posted hours at all terminals and support facilities
• 0900 hours – Window opens for confirming Tuesday and Wednesday, Nov. 26-27, reservations via PRO-PASS
• The Empty Return Matrix for Friday, Nov. 29^th will be posted and released after 1500

Tuesday, Nov. 26^th

• Observing regular posted hours at all terminals and support facilities
• 0900 hours – Window opens for confirming Friday, Nov. 29^th, reservations via PRO-PASS
• The Empty Return Matrix for Saturday, Nov. 30^th will be posted and released after 1500

Wednesday, Nov. 27^th

• Observing regular posted hours at all terminals and support facilities
• 0900 hours – Window opens for confirming Saturday, Nov. 30^th, reservations via PRO-PASS
• The Empty Return Matrix for Monday, Dec. 2^nd will be posted and released after 1500
• HARD STOP for all terminal activities at 2359 hours
• Reservation creation and editing, via the PRO-PASS website, will be unavailable from 1900 hours on Wednesday, November 27^th, until 0700 hours on Friday morning, November 29^th

Thursday, Nov. 28^th – Thanksgiving Day

• By contract – ILA restricted holiday
• All terminals and support facilities – CLOSED

Friday, Nov. 29^th

• 0700 hours truck gates OPEN at NIT, VIG, PPCY, PCY and the RSA
  • At 0700 hours, PRO-PASS reservations can now be made, edited and validated
  • NIT and VIG inbound portal closure at 1700 hours
  • PPCY, PCY and RSA last empty container delivery/pick-up – last in-gate truck at 1730 hours
• Standard mandatory reservation hours are in effect
• 0900 hours – Window opens for confirming Monday, Dec. 2^nd, reservations via PRO-PASS
• The Empty Return Matrix for Tuesday, Dec. 3^rd and Wednesday, Dec. 4^th will be posted and released after 1500
• NNMT, RMT and VIP – observing regular posted hours
